Kid Rock and Eminem have joined forces on a new song called ‘Heal My Faith’.
There has been some confusion over their collaboration in the past few days as earlier they were supposed to feature together on a track called ‘7 Sins’. Later, in a video posted on his socials on Wednesday (Oct. 14), Kid Rock announced that Eminem has been replaced by Lil Wayne on ‘7 Sins’ while their collab will be another song, ‘Heal My Faith’, taken from his upcoming album Halfway to Jesus.
Kid Rock called Em “my old friend of almost 40 years” and clarified that people who worked on his new album are not aligned politically. Both Kid Rock and Eminem are from Detroit, and they have both been vocal about American politics throughout the years. The two musicians have divergent political ideologies as Kid Rock has been a public Donald Trump supporter since the President’s first campaign. Whereas Eminem has been known as a critic of Trump’s.
“Not only the special guests, the musicians, the songwriters, the engineers, everybody involved in this record, we all don’t think the same,” he said. “Plenty of us think differently. All different backgrounds, everything, different politics. We’re able to come together and make this beautiful body of work that I’m so proud of.”
