About Mushmen Productions Inc.

From beats to big screens.

Mushmen Productions started in the streets of Mount Vernon and Yonkers, New York, as a home for music. Today it's a full-service video and media company serving the NYC metro — but the ear we built in those early rooms still shapes everything we shoot.

Our Roots

The Sonic Foundation

In our early days, Mushmen was part of the heartbeat of the Yonkers music scene — developing local talent and working alongside artists who went on to define New York hip-hop. That history is real, and it lives in the way we hear a room, choose a sound, and cut to rhythm.

Across those years we crossed paths with names that shaped the culture:

What We Do Now

Four Things We're Built For

Music taught us discipline and rhythm. We carry both into everything we produce today.

01

Story & Cinematography

Brand films, weddings, events, and commercial work shot with a cinematic eye. We direct, light, and capture so the footage carries the story — not just the moment.

02

Action & Movement

A decade of Panantukan, Silat, and Jeet Kune Do informs how we shoot motion. When a scene calls for action, it's grounded, efficient, and reads true on screen.

03

Sound & Rhythm

Our roots are sonic. Through MushmenSound we bring original music, licensing, and a poet's ear for timing — so picture and sound land together, not separately.

04

Editing & Finishing

We treat a timeline like a blueprint — every cut deliberate. Editing, color, sound design, and motion graphics are handled in-house, start to finish.

The Work

Made to Last

From recording sound for the documentary Wide Open Dreams to developing the upcoming thriller Protocol: Apoptosis, we build work that's precise, intentional, and made to hold up. We don't just make media — we build the craft and the systems behind it.
